Homemade Crunch Bars

Craving something sweet and crunchy? Try these Homemade Crunch Bars – just the right mix of chocolatey goodness and crispy texture! 🍫🌾


  • 2 cups chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate, according to preference)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)


  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate and coconut oil using a double boiler method.
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt if using.
  4. Fold in the crispy rice cereal until it’s evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.
  7. Once set, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut into squares.
